Getting Started with Reporting


Congratulations! Welcome to Global Payments Merchant Portal.

While we are thrilled to have you onboard in using our new cloud-based data management tool, we are even more excited to help you in your transition from BusinessView to Merchant Portal.

If you need help, don’t worry. We will walk you through every step in the attached guide to make the transition as seamless as possible. Thank you for being a valued Global Payments Customer.

  • Step 1 | Sign-Up Process

    1. To begin using Merchant Portal, please click on the Sign-Up Now link to register. The link is located below the Log in button.
      1. Note: For security purposes, a new password must be created to access the new tool

    2. Fill in the information noted in bold below, and then click Create to continue.
      1. Email Address
        1. Note: the Verification code message can be found in your inbox or junk/spam mail folder
      2. New Password
      3. Confirm New Password
      4. First Name
      5. Surname

    3. Once, logged in you will land on the dashboard as noted below:

  • Step 2 | Accessing Your Invoice

    1. Accessing Your Invoice
      1. To access your Statement, click on Account Management, then Statements. This tab is located on the left-side panel of your screen

    2. Selecting Dates
      1. To narrow or widen your search on statements click on Filter button located on the top right of the screen
    3. Downloading a Single Invoice
      1. To download a single invoice, click on the Actions button on the right side of your screen
      2. Under the Actions button, click on the Download option
    4. Downloading Multiple Invoices
      1. To download multiple invoices, click on the check box to the right of the Date column
      2. On the right side of the screen you will see an Export button,
        1. You may download the multiple invoices in a Zip file or single PDF
          1. Zip file: Will provide individual statements in a single file
          2. One PDF: Will provide statements in a single PDF

  • Step 3 | Finding Your Latest Sales Activity

    1. Accessing your Reports
      1. To access your daily transaction activity, click on Reports. This tab is located on the left-side panel of your screen
    2. Popular Default Reports to see Daily Transaction Activity
      1. Settled Batch Report
        1. Provides your daily transactions grouped by batch
      2. Settled Transaction Report
        1. Provide a list of your daily transaction that have been settled
    3. How to Run a Report?
      1. Click on View Report located on the right side of the screen
    4. How to Narrow your Search?
      1. To narrow your search or change your date selection, click on the Filter button on the top right of the screen
    5. How to Export a Report?
      1. Once the report loads, click on the Export button on the bottom right of the screen
        1. Available export options: PDF / CSV
    6. How to Rearrange the Columns?
      1. Once the report loads, click on the Columns button on the bottom right of the screen to add or remove columns
    7. How to Schedule a Report?
      1. Click on the Filter button on the top right of the screen
      2. Select what date range you want the report to contain
      3. Click on the Save button, located on the top right next to the question mark icon. Select a name for your saved filter.
        1. Note: You will need the saved filter, to schedule a report
      4. Click on the Calendar icon, located to the left of the Save button.
        1. Click on the Plus sign to create a schedule
      5. Schedule Creation:
        1. Add a title to Schedule
        2. Select a Saved Filter
        3. Choose CSV or PDF for report format
        4. Select Recurrence of Schedule
          1. Daily or Weekly
        5. Choose Start and End Date
          1. Click Schedule button
    8. How to Find your Scheduled Report?
      1. To access your scheduled report, click on Reports. This tab is located on the left-side panel of your screen
      2. Click on the Generated Reports to locate your scheduled report
      3. To export your scheduled report, click on the Download button

  • Step 4 | Payouts to your Bank Account

    1. How to Access this Report?
      1. To view what has been paid or withdrawn from your bank account, click on Reports.
        1. This tab is located on the left-side panel of your screen
      2. Locate the Funding Report, click on View Report
      3. This report contains all funds that have been credited or debited from your account
    2. How to Run a Report?
      1. Click on View Report located on the right side of the screen
    3. How to Narrow your Search?
      1. To narrow your search or change your date selection, click on the Filter button on the top right of the screen
    4. How to Export a Report?
      1. Once the report loads, click on the Export button on the bottom right of the screen
        1. Available export options: PDF / CSV
    5. How to Rearrange the Columns?
      1. Once the report loads, click on the Columns button on the bottom right of the screen to add or remove columns

  • Step 5 | Where do I find my open chargebacks?

    1. Open Chargebacks
      1. To view your open chargebacks, click on Reports.
        1. This tab is located on the left-side panel of your screen
      2. Locate the Received Disputes Report, click on View Report
      3. This report contains all open chargebacks that are either being worked by an internal Global Payments agent or which your response is needed

  • Step 6 | How do I respond to my open chargebacks?

    1. Option 1
      1. While on the Received Disputes Report, click on Dispute application under the purple banner.
      2. Click on the Disputes icon, located in the Application Drawer.
      3. A separate window will open, copy the Case Number on the Received Disputes Report into the Case Search box in the Disputes application
        1. Your Case Number can be located either on a Dispute Notification Letter from Global Payments or under the Received Disputes report
    2. Option 2
      1. Click on the 4 grey circles located on the top right of your screen

        1. Click on the Disputes icon, located in the Application Drawer.
        2. A separate window will open
          1. Search by Case Number
            1. Copy the Case Number from the Received Disputes Report or your latest Dispute Notification letter
              1. Your Case Number can be located either on a Dispute Notification Letter from Global Payments or under the Received Disputes report
          2. Search by Merchant Number
            1. To see all cases by Merchant Number.

  • Step 7 | How can I locate a specific transaction?

    1. To locate a specific transaction, click on Transaction Finder.
      1. This tab is located on the left-side panel of your screen
    2. How to Narrow your Search?
      1. To narrow your search or change your date selection, click on the Search button on the top right of the screen
    3. How to Export this Data?
      1. Once the transactions load, click on the Export button on the bottom right of the screen
        1. Available export options: PDF / CSV
    4. How to Rearrange the Columns?
      1. Once the report loads, click on the Columns button on the bottom right of the screen to add or remove columns

  • Step 8 | How can I locate refunds?

    1. To locate a specific transaction, click on Transaction Finder.
      1. This tab is located on the left-side panel of your screen
    2. Click on the Search filter
      1. Located on the top right of your screen
    3. Find the Transactions Type dropdown, click on Refund
    4. Click on the Search button, located next to Cancel, to get all refunded transactions
    5. How to Export this Data?
      1. Once the transactions load, click on the Export button on the bottom right of the screen
        1. Available export options: PDF / CSV

  • Step 9 | How can I narrow my merchant numbers?

    1. On the top of the screen click on Edit Selection.
    2. Search for the Merchant ID needed in the search box, then hit enter
    3. Click on the Select button
    4. Now all pages within the application will be filtered under that particular merchant number

  • Step 10 | How do I access more help information?

    1. Click on the Question mark, located on the top right of the screen
